This supportive, 4-week workshop would provide a regular space for writers, poets, songwriters and screenwriters working on their first draft manuscript (any form/ genre, and any stage of the manuscript). Based on the workshop methodology I used to complete my own first draft autofictional novel, “Your Body of Water” (Repeater Books 2025), each week is structured around exploring a key text together as inspiration, (ranging from Audre Lorde to Carmen Maria Machado), a prompted writing exercise, and weekly presentations of works–in-progress for constructive, focused feedback.
