THE READING #1: with Leon Craig and Dylan McNulty Holmes / Oct. 25, 2022

The Reader Berlin is delighted to present, The Reading # 1!
Let’s dive into Halloween and Scorpio season with an ecstatic celebration of queer gothic horror! On October 25th, we’ll be launching the paperback edition of Leon Craig’s short story collection, PARALLEL HELLS as part of the new Berlin reading series, The Reading.

Date: Tuesday October 25th
Time: Doors at 7pm, reading and Q&A from 8pm
Place: Das Gift, Donaustraße 119

This deliciously strange debut has been described by Neil Gaiman as “the place where gothic horror meets contemporary fiction, where magic meets despair… An auspicious start to a writing career” and by Kirsty Logan as “the queer horror book of your dreams”. Leon will introduce us to a world of ruined mansions, Golems, lethal curses and Satanic Mass, followed by a discussion about queer identity and the complicated nature of being human, with audience Q&A.

We’ll also have additional grotesque genius from Dylan McNulty-Holmes.

Come dressed in your most gory glamour—there will be treats for the best Halloween outfits!
