Event Description

You’ve finished your draft — now what? Led by an experienced editor, this hands-on editing masterclass is packed with practical tips, creative techniques and interactive exercises to help you turn your rough drafts into polished gems.

Whether you’re working on a novel, short story, essay or newsletter, this workshop will give you the tools to make your writing sharper, more engaging, and publication-ready. Designed for writers of all levels, the course will teach participants how to critically assess and refine their own work—from proofreading to structural overhauls and everything in between.

In the first half of the workshop we’ll cover the basics, looking at structure, consistency, spelling and grammar to ensure an easy reading experience for potential publishers. In the second half of the workshop, we’ll deep-dive into the art of editing and explore how to make your writing sparkle without losing your unique voice.

Bring your words and let’s make them sing!

This one-day masterclass is open to writers of any genre and of any experience level. There are 20 places available. A fully funded place is available for a writer with a refugee background. Please email if you’d like to enquire about this.
