GIJS VAN KONINGSVELD is a freelance writer, editor and translator specialising in the fields of design, popular culture and the humanities. He is the founder and director of November Editions, a publishing house dedicated to publishing English-language translations of classic German Expressionist literature. Gijs received an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Amsterdam, and writes and edits in English and Dutch for a wide range of publications, both in print and online.
