Slave/Competition – This Sunday!

We’re thrilled that the lovely people at Visual Verse have decided to throw their lot in with us at this Sunday’s Salon and co-host the live-writing competition.

For those of you who don’t yet know, Visual Verse is an online anthology of art and words. Every month they offer an image as a writing prompt. One image, one hour, 50-500 words. The image is the starting point, the text is up to you. And the best submissions are showcased on the website alongside such literary luminaries as Bernadine Evaristo, Andrew Motion and Ali Smith.

Guest author and artist Michael Salu has selected an image for Sunday’s Salon which will also be Visual Verses’ April image. Guests on the night will not only get a sneak preview, but also the chance to write a response in the break.  Not only will the overall winner get a bottle of Jamesons, but the top three entries will also have their work showcased on the Visual Verse website.
