Harness the generative spirit of spring with a series of immersive short story and flash fiction workshops.

Divya Ghelani invites you to experiment and play by creating new short fiction across the course of seven weeks. Participants will be offered a range of stimulus-based writing exercises to help them conjure new settings, characters, and voices.

Each week’s writing will be based on a group-generated theme (e.g. food, dystopia, citizenship, historical short fiction). You’ll begin brand new tales as well as partake in critical discussions about the art of the short story, the rules of flash fiction, and a few tricks of the trade.

Everyone will leave with multiple finished stories and outlines for many more. Workshops will include examples of excellent contemporary short fiction, tips for editing for publication, and will end with a list of opportunities and competitions.

Email hello@thereaderberlin.com to book.

*This workshop is open to beginner writers as well as seasoned short story and flash fiction pros.
